i'm twenty-three. i live in brooklyn. i don't like to capitalize letters and i usually spell out numbers. none of my closest friends speak english. i have a small dog that i don't always have time to walk. i don't believe in working (chopping wood, working for your livelihood - yes. wasting your precious life making corporations even wealthier than they already are - hell no).
i am a romantic; i like poetry and beautiful images and revolutions and love stories.
i am a recovering cocaine addict.
i am a hypocrite.
it is a warm day in brooklyn: too warm for late december. like most people my age who grew up in a cold climate, the winters of my childhood were white and dense and still. but no more. i recently saw al green's documentary on global warming and i was surprised to actually come away DOUBTING (for the first time ever) the global warming theory. it seemed to me like al was trying to make a political comeback and it really turned me off. the scientific evidence, however, is pretty hard to dismiss...
but it is a warm day in brooklyn. the kids next-door who work at the hot dog restaurant (yes, it is a restaurant for hot dogs) are lounging about on the bench smoking cigarettes and trading stories about their jackass customers. the reason why i know this is because i was just out there smoking cigarettes and talking with them. the large mexican is my favorite character. slightly effeminate with a red bandanna and a motorcycle tattoo, he laughs the loudest and talks the most.
today i am eating whatever random crap there is around the house. so far i have eaten stale trail mix, a handful of horrible green colored sacrine christmas candies and some apple sauce. not bad. yesterday was much worse. i was hungry all day long, and since i wasn't home to eat my boyfriends food, i was forced to scrape together change and get by on cheap coffee. i don't usually drink the nasty hormone and puss-filled milk they sell here in the u.s.a. but i was so fucking hungry that i conceded. i need the calories in that puss!
